This project initiated as an ecologically improved alternative to the iconic Starbucks paper cup. The single wall, low cost option was intended as the foundational element of a closed loop material story.
Since it’s introduction, Starbucks has gone on to utilize this item for holiday and other promotional events.
The original cup was designed to emulate the paper cup silhouette, but included a lid that is visually distinct from the disposable lid.
